The Global Gender Gap Report 2010

China (61) loses one place in the gender gap index and is the second-last ranking country on the health and survival subindex (133), the result of its disproportionate sex ratio.

Each year, the World Economic Forum publishes its Global Gender Gap report to track the progress (or lack thereof) of women's rights in the world's countries.  The report is written by the following researchers:

Ricardo Hausmann, Harvard University; Laura D. Tyson, University of California, Berkeley; Saadia Zahidi, World Economic Forum
