Prayer Update #36 - 4/1/11

Dear AGA Prayer Warriors,

Happy April Fool's Day!  It is snowing here in Boston--not funny--but we hope that the Lord is showing you his sense of humor in a more benign way.  Our prayer requests for this week:

1) Rescue Campaign Underway - This week, AGA kicked off another anti-trafficking campaign with the goal of rescuing girls who had been kidnapped and sold to families to become child-brides.  Please lift up our team, as they enter into dangerous territory controlled by trafficking rings; pray that they would rescue many girls and reunite them with their families!  We also lift up the husband of one of our volunteers, who was severely injured in a car accident and is now in a coma.  Please pray for the Lord's healing power to be upon his body!

2) AGA Celebration Gala - In two months, AGA will be hosting a celebration gala in Boston to reflect on all that God has done in the past year through our work.  Please pray for all the preparations for the gala, which include inviting donors to pledge to support our programs in year#2. If you would like to pledge to one of our programs, please e-mail Sara.  Please join us in prayer as we invite supporters to partner with us in our work next year!

3) 40 Days of Prayer for China's Girls and Mothers - We continue to receive positive feedback about our 40 Days of Prayer devotionals, which are sent daily with reflections on Scripture and prayers for China.  Thank you to those of you who have joined us in praying for China's girls and mothers!  If you are interested in receiving brief daily updates, please e-mail Brian.

4) Host A Prayer Vigil During Lent! - During this season of Lent, we are encouraging all of our prayer supporters to consider holding a prayer vigil for China's girls and mothers.  It is an excellent opportunity to gather brothers and sisters in Christ to lift up those who are suffering under China's One-Child Policy.  All Girls Allowed has already written a prayer liturgy to be used for such an occasion, for a vigil that lasts approximately 30-40 minutes.  Please check it out here!  If you plan to host a vigil, pleasecontact Brian and let us know, so that we can be encouraged.  If you also have pictures, feel free to send them in and we will enthusiastically post them on our site.

5) Unity and Discernment - As we approach our one-year anniversary, the AGA team has done a fair amount of self-reflection to determine our identity and our direction for the future.  Please pray for unity as we discern God's vision for AGA in the coming year, and pray that God would grant us clear communication throughout the discernment process.

Thank you for your invaluable prayers, which are making a tangible difference as God continues to bring his salvation and redemption to the people of China!  The Lord be with you.

in Christ,

the All Girls Allowed team
